The Rathfinny Wine Estate opened its doors to R.A.B.I for a private tour. The estate, located in Alfriston, East Sussex, is famous for its Sussex Sparkling Wine.
Richard James, the estate’s operations manager, welcomed 75 guests and gave a talk about the history of Rathfinny Wine and what the future holds. He took guests on a tour of the vineyards, which produce up to a million bottles of sparkling wine per year, and down to the wine cellars, which can hold around four million bottles. He also showed people the processing areas where the wine is made.
At the end of the tour, guests were invited onto the veranda, which overlooks the vineyards, for canapes and the chance to sample some of the produce.
John Stanley, R.A.B.I trustee, also attended the event and spoke about the charity’s work. He also thanked Andrew Samuel and his team at Samuel & Son for organising the event and fellow sponsors Lloyds Bank, Mayo Wynne Baxter Solicitors and Knill James Chartered Accountants for their continued help and support.
