Staffordshire R.A.B.I supporters enjoyed a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon at Sandon Hall, near Stafford, in August.
After a welcome glass of Buck’s Fizz guests were then given the opportunity to explore the beautiful estate grounds. A delicious afternoon tea was prepared and served by Sheila Sindrey and her team of staff at of Dairy Bridge Cuisine.
An auction of five items followed with Staffordshire R.A.B.I Committee Chairman Mike Shelley acting as auctioneer. The top prize was a day out with Mike and his wife Daisy! Other auction lots included a voucher for paint-balling and a ‘noggin’, which we learnt is the technical term for a whisky water jug. Thank you to those who supported the event and to the mystery person who donated the Buck’s Fizz!
Many thanks to everyone at Sandon Hall, to the hosts the Earl and Countess of Harrowby, to Barclays who provided match funding and Sheila Sindrey of Dairy Bridge Cuisine.
