The Hampshire committee was delighted to have won ‘Show Trade Charity Stand’ at this year’s Alresford agricultural show.
The stand was extremely busy and raised £575 through various activities. Joe Corbett kindly loaned R.A.B.I his 1916 Titan international tractor, which visitors had the chance to climb aboard. More than 200 people, both old and young, leapt at this opportunity and donated £200 to ride the machine.
A colourful flock of model sheep, which made their debut at the New Forest show earlier this year, proved to be a major attraction. The sheep were decorated by children from Bentworth School, near Alton.
Sally Field, regional manager for the south east, said: “The committee team that supported throughout the day were brilliant. We all went home feeling the whole experience had been extremely worthwhile. It highlighted how well supported we are in the county.”
