‘Betty’ – hard at work at Creslow Manor
Not a soggy bottom in sight as the R.A.B.I Buckinghamshire committee gave the Great British Bake Off a run for its money at the Creslow Manor cream tea on 27 July.
The committee’s scones were such a hit that not only did they nearly run out of tea cups to accompany the cakes, they also smashed last year’s total to raise more than £2,800 including match funding by Barclays.
Regional manager Jenni Thompson said: “R.A.B.I. Buckinghamshire committee have helped to raise a fantastic amount of money for farming families today and with the help of Betty the tea pot everyone has had a very enjoyable day!”
