The Bedfordshire committee held a clay shoot at Sporting Targets in Riseley and raised £1,322.
This was the new committee’s second fundraising event since their formation. Twelve teams took part in the competition, which included a 40 clay bird shoot. Before lunch, the guests came together to take part in the flurry – a challenge for each team to shoot as many of the 30 clay birds released.
Team Pigott, comprising Ian Pigott, Ivan Spencer, and Steve Gower, won the day. Ivan was also the male top gun, while Rachel Watling took the female top prize.
Lucy Bellefontaine, regional manager for the East, said: “I’d like to thank Kramp, Ben Burgess, and Brown & Co, who all supported this event and entered teams of their own.”
