In celebration of Great British Beef Week R.A.B.I’s Gloucestershire committee is hosting a beef supper on Friday May 19th.
The event will be held at the Lygon Arms in Chipping Campden (8.30pm) and Charlotte Johnson, Scheme Member Manager for Red Tractor, will be the guest speaker. Tickets cost £27.50 and can be purchased from Julia Bovill (see bottom of page for details).
Great British Beef Week, now in its seventh year, celebrates the quality and versatility of British beef and the farmers who bring it to our plates across the UK. The campaign is organised by Ladies in Beef, a group of more than 150 female beef farmers, and R.A.B.I is the charity partner.
The mission of Ladies in Beef is to work with the supply chain to champion Red Tractor farm assured beef and to increase consumer support for the British beef industry.
Tanya Robbins, a Ladies in Beef member who is also on R.A.B.I’s Gloucestershire committee, said: “Great British Beef Week helps to raise the profile of this wonderful product that’s been raised on our land. Our climate in Britain grows quality grass, which our cattle convert into healthy protein, making British beef a wonderfully natural product.”
