It’ll be eyes down for bingo at the Monty Club in Newtown on Tuesday 4 October 4, with all proceeds going to R.A.B.I!
The bingo night is being organised by the our Montgomeryshire committee and various prizes will be awarded on the evening. The action gets underway at 8pm and a raffle will also be held to boost funds.
Linda Jones, R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, said: “Our fundraising events in Montgomeryshire are always well supported and the committee works extremely hard to raise awareness about what we do. Many farming families are finding life difficult at the moment, but we are here to help.”
Gwyn Morris, Montgomeryshire committee chairman, added: “Last year, R.A.B.I gave out grants of nearly £40,000 in Montgomeryshire to struggling farming families. Year upon year, the charity is doing more to help those still active in the industry.”
People must have limited savings and be on a low income to qualify for R.A.B.I’s help, but even if we can’t give a grant, we may be able to help and / or suggest someone who can. If you know someone who is in need of assistance please call our Freephone confidential helpline 0808 281.
