R.A.B.I Brecon & Radnor committee held a successful quiz night at the Black Mountain Lodge in Glasbury, on Friday 11 September. Malcolm Thomas, R.A.B.I deputy chairman and Quiz Master for the evening, posed some seriously challenging questions for the ten teams consisting of four members per team.
Half time refreshments of Welsh Beef rolls were supplied courtesy of Hybu Cig Cymru / Meat Promotion Wales and a huge thanks to them for providing some much needed protein for brain fuel in order to attempt the second half of the quiz! R.A.B.I would also like to thank Kim and her staff at Black Mountain Lodge for cooking and supplying the rolls.
The winning team declared at the end of the evening was aptly named “The Oracle” and the team consisted of Rodger and Tina Alderson and Aubrey and Ruth Price, taking home a bottle of wine each. A raffle with several prizes on offer was also held and committee member Paul Greenow donated a bottle of vodka which was auctioned and raised a further £30. The total raised on the evening was £568. Thank you to all involved for a sociable and fun-filled evening.
