The committee manned a stall at what has grown to become one of the country’s largest one-day agricultural shows and chatted to farmers, agri-businesses and other interested parties about the services and support R.A.B.I can offer struggling farmers.
A toy tractor kindly donated by Hamblys Claas Dealership was star attraction at the R.A.B.I stand and even Show President, Donald Arscott was tempted to have a go! The lucky winner was the owner of Devon’s Crealy Adventure Park.
R.A.B.I regional manager Pam Wills attended the show and said: “R.A.B.I is proud to have been chosen as charity of the year by the Honiton Show committee and we are also thankful to the NFU for raising more than £330 from their catering service at the show. R.A.B.I gave out more than £110K in grants in Devon alone last year, so agricultural shows like this really help us spread the word that we are here for farming families struggling financially.”
A diverse range of activities were on offer at the Show, including the action-packed Moto Stunts, terrier racing and the Dartmoor Hill Pony display team.
