R.A.B.I’s Ceredigion Committee is hosting a Welsh Beef dinner on Friday 21 October at Llanina Arms, Llanarth to raise money for struggling farmers.
The annual dinner is a popular evening in the Ceredigion Committee’s event list and this year members of the committee are very pleased to welcome NFU Cymru’s Wales Woman Farmer of the Year, Abi Reader, who farms in Wenvoe, Cardiff, as guest speaker. Abi is a young dairy farmer who manages her own herd and takes part in various other activities including ‘Cows On Tour’, a roadshow that visits primary schools to tell the farming story.
R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones, said: “Our committee members in Ceredigion always host a very well attended annual beef dinner and I’m sure that this year will be no exception. We’re extremely proud of the support we have given to farming families in Ceredigion over the years. These are trying times for the agricultural industry and we will continue to support farming families who find themselves in distressing circumstances through no fault of their own.”
Ceredigion Committee county chair Joan Jones urged the public to back their efforts and show support for their local farmers. She said: “Our annual beef dinner is always a sociable evening and I would like to thank Abi Reader for agreeing to be our guest speaker this year. It’s sure to be an enjoyable evening and we are grateful for all the support we receive from R.A.B.I right here in Ceredigion.”
If you’d like to attend, tickets cost £20 per person for a two-course beef dinner and are available from Joan Jones on 01545 580320 or Cheryl Bulman on 01974 298177.
