More than a thousand rubber ducks were sent racing down a stream at Glanwern, Felinfach, to raise £2,091.
The event took place on Gareth Davies’ farm and Myfanwy Bryce, the lucky owner of the winning duck, scooped a £30 prize.
The Ceredigion committee has had a busy year hosting a number of events, including a quiz night, coffee morning and race night. In total, these have brought in around £4,000.
R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones, said: “I’d like to thank Charlene Aitkin from Barclays Bank for match-funding the amount raised and her Barclays Bank colleague Rhian Jones for attending the duck race in person.”
Frances Jones, Ceredigion R.A.B.I county committee chairman, added: “We had great fun at our duck race and I would like to thank Gareth Davies for allowing us to host the race on his farm.”
