Nominations are now open for the Ceva Animal Welfare Awards 2018, which celebrate the achievements of remarkable people from the farming, veterinary and charity sectors.
R.A.B.I and NADIS are the charity supporters of the Farm Animal Welfare award, which goes to someone from the farming industry who ‘strives to provide or encourage high standards of ethical and compassionate farm animal welfare’.
Last year’s joint winners of the award were Katrine Bazeley from Dorset and Graham Duncanson from Norfolk, who are pictured above (centre left and centre right respectively).
Since the first Ceva Awards in 2010 hundreds of people have been nominated. Cuneyt Seckin, Ceva Animal Health MD, said: “The Ceva Animal Welfare Awards have gone from strength to strength, not only in terms of interest, but also in the quality of the people and organisations that are honoured.”
The 2018 winners and runners up will be honoured at a ceremony taking place on the eve of BSAVA (British Small Animal Veterinary Association) Congress on 4th April 2018.
If there is a farming professional that you feel deserves to be recognised for their ongoing commitment to animal welfare, visit Ceva Welfare Awards to nominate. Entries must be in by Friday 26 January 2018.
