The Pembrokeshire ladies’ committee of R.A.B.I will be hosting their annual cheese & wine reception at the NFU Pavilion on the showground on Wednesday 17 August.
Pembrokeshire County Show president Dennis Reed has chosen R.A.B.I as his elected charity to benefit from the proceeds of this year’s ladies’ day raffle morning, a glamorous and extremely popular event.
A hamper raffle will be held on the Tuesday and Wednesday of the Pembrokeshire County Show to raise further money for R.A.B.I. The farming charity is once again indebted to NFU Cymru for hosting them at the show – where their 2017 calendar and new range of Christmas cards will be also available.
Linda Jones, R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, said: “I would like to thank this year’s president, Mr Dennis Reed for supporting R.A.B.I and also the NFU in Pembrokeshire for hosting us throughout the week. We greatly value the support of generous individuals and organisations and our fundraising events in Pembrokeshire are always well attended. Committee members work extremely hard to raise awareness about what we do.”
Pembrokeshire committee county chairman Helen Williams urged people to support the fundraising efforts of the committee. She said: “There are many farming families in hardship. It is a difficult time for many in the farming sector, but we are here to support them and you can see from the grants already provided this year in Pembrokeshire that we are doing as much as we can to help.”
