Living legend Phil Smallwood dressed as a Christmas cracker for the annual Cheshire quiz, which raised £2,000.
Around 100 people joined the Cheshire committee at the Willaston Sports and Social Club in Nantwich. Local turkey farmer Mike Bailey provided turkey sandwiches for the guests while ‘Mick the Chip’ offered portions of chips.
It’s become a tradition for Phil to dress in a new entertaining costume each year, with previous outfits including a Christmas pudding and a fairy. This year’s costume was made by Phil’s wife, Dorothy, who helped organise the event.
Georgina Lamb, regional manager for the North West, said: “Phil always puts the fun into fundraising and his costumes are brilliant. I’d like to thank Steve Lowry from Barclays for match-funding the money raised.”
