Golfers in Oswestry have raised more than £2,300 for R.A.B.I! The golf challenge at Henlle Park in Oswestry on Friday, June 5 2015 was a huge success and attracted 28 teams from England and Wales. Committee members served up sausages in baps after the ninth hole of the fundraiser, now a popular fixture on the Shropshire golfing calendar.
The sun shone for the golf day with a team from Staffordshire NFU triumphing on course. Lloyds Bank was the main sponsor of the event and Jonathan Jenkins from Lloyds Bank Agriculture assisted with the presentation of awards.
Kate Jones, R.A.B.I regional manager for the West Midlands, said: “We are delighted that the day raised £2,389.75 for R.A.B.I. It was a hugely enjoyable event and I’d like to thank Lloyds Bank for sponsoring the golf day and everyone else who contributed to the success, including Wenlock Edge Farm Shop, Molson Corrs Brewery, Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, Wynnstay and of course, Henlle Park Golf Club, our wonderful hosts.”
