Following heavy rainfall in the morning, R.A.B.I Clwyd committee was extremely pleased to see the sun arrive just in time for their Afternoon Tea held at Pistyll Isa, Y Nant, Holywell.
The afternoon was a resounding success as over 70 guests were able to enjoy themselves with a sumptuous tea in the grounds of Menna and Brian Colclough’s farm.
Menna and members of the Clwyd committee had prepared a wonderful variety of cakes and sandwiches and all for £5. A lovely afternoon was had by all that attended, with guests enjoying a relaxing few hours in the ambiance of the sun-basked marquees provided by county chairman Glyn Colclough.
A raffle was held during the afternoon, along with a competition to guess the cost of a hamper. Carol Stephenson was the winner of the hamper competition having nearly guessed the cost by only a few pence out. A cake stall and table-top sale were also popular with guests buying some more tasty homemade cakes to take home. A total of £635 was raised during the afternoon and a huge thanks to all who contributed in any way to the success of the afternoon.
