R.A.B.I Clwyd committee has scooped the Bryn Davies Bowl in recognition of its efforts and contributions to the charity in 2014.
The committee was presented with the award by National Farmers’ Union (NFU) deputy president Minette Batters in front of a packed audience at R.A.B.I’s annual meeting on 13 May 2015.
R.A.B.I gave £1.93 million in grants to farming people in 2014 and helped people claim £378,000 in state benefits. More than £20,000 was paid out in grants to farming people in Clwyd last year.
Speaking of the committee’s highly successful fundraising event at Ruthin Mart in December 2014, regional manager for Wales Linda Jones said: “I would like to congratulate the Clwyd county committee on their award and the successful inaugural Christmas Carol Concert at Ruthin Mart. This event promises to be a fixture to look forward to in Clwyd in future years and demonstrates the dedication of the committee to seek out new ways of raising awareness regarding the work of R.A.B.I and fundraising in Clwyd.”
