Fifteen teams jumped into their karts to race around Whilton Mill, raising £1,300 in the process.
The event invited corporates to compete around the go-kart track in Daventry in teams of three or four. One team member from Lockhart Garratt said: “All of us had great fun and we’re very proud to support such a good cause.”
Matthew Holloway of Pristine Paddocks put together the winning team – ‘No Eye Deer’ – with friends Jobe Jeacock and James Leaning. The trio were awarded a bottle of Cava each.
Runners up were Northampton famer Andrew Fyfe’s ‘Harvest Heroes’ and Towcester Young Farmers’ ‘Young Guns’. The group from Farmers & Mercantile were proud to maintain their last place position from the year before and gladly flaunted their losers’ spoons.
Regional manager Mary Martin said: “I’d like to thank everyone at Whilton Mill for hosting us and for providing prizes for the winning team.”
