R.A.B.I’s Worcestershire committee organised another cracking dinner, in conjunction with Richard Smart, the NFU County Chairman, at Worcestershire County Cricket Ground.
The event was well-attended with 150 R.A.B.I supporters from across the county and beyond joining together for a slap up meal and to hear from our inspirational guest speaker. We were lucky enough to be joined by Julia Evans from Longlands Care Farm who was recently presented with the BBC Countryfile Farming Hero Award earlier on this year.
At the dinner we heard about how her life on the family farm has evolved and how she now works supporting vulnerable young people and helps them to learn valuable skills on the farm.
The evening also featured a promise auction, which was run by the very skilled and amusing Clive Roads from McCartneys, who can usually be found auctioning off ewes at Worcester Livestock Market. Thank you to everyone who donated promise auction lots and raffle prizes.
