Over 120 guests packed into the opulent surroundings of the historic Vale Royal Abbey in Northwich, Cheshire, earlier this month, for a three-course lunch and to hear from author Roger A Price.
Roger, a crime fighter and author, spoke about his fascinating work in the criminal underworld and his transition into a popular crime novelist. Following lunch there was an auction of promises and raffle.
Malcolm Thomas, R.A.B.I Chairman, (pictured top photo, centre) kindly made the four-hour trek from his home to attend the event and to thank the committee and all the supporters from Cheshire for all their hard work.
Many thanks to everyone who kindly contributed to the auction and to all those companies who sponsored the event, in particular to Barclays who provided match funding. The event raised a impressive £4,000 for farmers in financial difficulties.
