David Brown Tractor Club members raised £1,077 by raffling and auctioning off memorabilia.
The club was founded in 1995 by Martin George, who wanted to connect David Brown machinery enthusiasts together. With over 1,000 members, the club includes tractor owners, past employees and distributors.
They held a dinner at the Meltham Golf Club in Huddersfield, the town from which David Brown originated. Georgina Lamb, regional manager for the North West, was invited to the dinner where she was presented with the donation.
Georgina said: “I’d like to thank Chris Maddison, from the David Brown Tractor Club, for selecting R.A.B.I as the chosen charity for this donation.
“In 2017, we gave out around £24,000 in grants throughout West Yorkshire. Every donation goes towards supporting farming people in hardship get back on their feet.”
