Supporters at The Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum, near Crediton in mid Devon, started Great British Beef Week celebrations early last week with a fundraising comedy evening, complete with a roast beef carvery supper.
Many thanks to comedian Tank Sherman (pictured above, centre) and to Georgina Davie (left) who organised the event, along with Gemma Stephens (right) and John Yeoman of the R.A.B.I. Devon Committee.
Thanks also to local farmer and Devon NFU county chairman, Jim Stephens, who donated the beef for the supper, and to the team at The Waie Inn who were very generous hosts.
The event raised £1,127 was through ticket sales and a well supported raffle.
