Many thanks to Andrew and Catherine Goodridge for organising a fundraising Spring Ball at the Langstone Cliff Hotel in Dawlish which was attended by 84 guests and raised £1,000 for R.A.B.I and £500 for Devon Young Farmers.
In the 12 years this event has been going more than 1,300 meals have been served and over 350 bottles of wine quaffed, raising a fantastic £20,000 for R.A.B.I.
This year guests enjoyed a four-course meal, dancing with live Ceilidh band Spinach with Norman and petit fours made by Catherine Goodridge.
An auction was also held offering a varied range of lots including a Land Rover driving experience, courtesy of Matford Land Rover and the chance to drive a tank, thanks to Dartmoor 4×4. While the auction was going on a silent raffle with 30 prizes took place, raising an additional £617, with a prize winner on every table.
Pam Wills, R.A.B.I regional manager for the South West, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of Devon Young Farmers who have already pencilled in next year’s ball for February 8.
“The amount of money they have raised for us over the years is phenomenal and makes a real difference to farming families suffering hardship due to factors such as illness, injury and animal disease.”
