We especially appreciate the support people offer us in difficult times of their own, for example by requesting donations instead of funeral flowers or setting up an online donation site to remember someone’s life.
This is a very personal choice and a wonderful way of helping R.A.B.I and we are deeply grateful to family and friends for helping us in this way.
People usually ask their funeral director to contact us and make the arrangements, including collecting and forwarding the money. We can help by providing information about our work, as well as Gift Aid envelopes to make people’s gifts go even further if they are UK taxpayers.
You may want to set up an online donation page at JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving where people can make donations directly to us using their credit or debit card. There are details of how to set up an online donation page on the sites, or in our Fundraising Pack which you can get by calling 01865 724931 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org If you set up a site please let us know, so that we have your contact details and can acknowledge your generosity.
A list of people for whom donations have been given to R.A.B.I in memory is published every year in our Annual Review. For this reason it is very important that any cheques sent to R.A.B.I include details of who the donation is in memory of. The address to send cheques, which should be payable to R.A.B.I, is:
Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution
27 West Way
