Gifts in wills form a major part of R.A.B.I’s income. They come in all shapes and sizes – gifts of £100 or 1% of someone’s estate, as well as more substantial sums.
It’s thanks to a recent major legacy that we have been able to redevelop Manson House in Bury St Edmunds, one of our retirement homes. But every gift, however small, helps us make a difference to farming people in need. If the time is right and you are thinking of making a will, after taking care of loved ones please consider helping R.A.B.I too. It could make the world of difference to someone in the future.
Making or changing a will does not have to be hard work or expensive, but you should take legal advice on how to do so. It’s also worth looking out for campaigns such as Free Wills Month in March and October when some solicitors offer to write wills free of charge if people include a gift to charity. For more information visit: www.freewillsmonth.org.uk.
