Despite rain, R.A.B.I supporters in Montgomeryshire turned out in force to support a duck race that raised £800.
The race was organised by Llanfair Caereinion YFC and the funds raised will be split between the young farmers and R.A.B.I.
One thousand rubber ducks started their journey down the River Banwy from a bridge in Llanfair, Caereinion to the railway station. Fire and rescue servicemen and women were on hand to scoop the ducks from the river.
The winning duck belonged to local auctioneer Glandon Lewis, who was awarded a cash prize but kindly donated it back to the two charities.
The YFC and other supporters brought along homemade cakes to feed spectators and the hard-working fire station staff.
