Tractor enthusiasts and members of East Riding YFC will once again join together on Sunday 5 June taking to the roads on a Charity Tractor Road Run to boost funds for R.A.B.I and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Following success over the last eight years, East Riding YFC have organised their ninth road run and are pleased with the support they are receiving from the members of YFC and local vintage tractor groups. The tractors will leave Laburnum Farm, Etton, near Beverley at 10:00 on 5 June for a road trip covering approximately 30 miles round East Yorkshire.
The previous events have raised in excess of £16,400 and was keen to host the event again. Last year’s run was hailed as a great success with almost £4000 being raised and Mr John Sleight from Laburnum Farm hopes even more can be raised this year! He said “We have always had fantastic support from participants, helpers and spectators.”
Jenny Sleight, helping to organise the event, said “If you see the tractors please support them with a friendly wave!” Collectors will accompany the parade as it follows the planned route and donations will be gratefully received for the two charities.
