Tickets for the celebratory ball sold out ahead of the event, which took place at The Oaks Golf Club and Spa in Aughton, and generations past and present gathered to reflect on the club’s achievements.
R.A.B.I regional manager for the North East Sally Conner met with the club in September to talk about the work and history of the charity and showcase the charity’s ‘real life stories’.
Sally said: “Escrick YFC are great supporters of R.A.B.I and really understand the importance of our work in the farming community. Last year, R.A.B.I gave out more than £147K in North Yorkshire alone and the region was the second highest beneficiary of grants after Somerset in 2014. This year we have already given out more than £72.5K to farming families in financial difficulty, so our work is really crucial to the local farming community. We’re grateful to Escrick YFC for giving us a platform and donating to our cause.”
Funds from the ball and church service, totalling £265.33 were presented to Sally after the meeting.
