The Essex committee held a marquee lunch at Little Braxted Hall, Witham, and raised £3,769.
The 150 guests were treated to a glass of fizz upon arrival, which was provided by Roger Burroughs and Mike Porter. After tucking into a locally sourced meal, guests were entertained by Jeremy Finnis, who talked about his time in parliament and his insight into farming. Jeremy also donated a week’s stay in one of his cottages and a tour of the Dell Estate in Scotland to the raffle.
Lucy Bellefontaine, regional manager for the East, said: “I’d like to thank Kit Spearman and his family for offering us the use of their marquee. It was a pleasure to welcome Jeremy Finnis as a guest speaker and I’m grateful for his contributions to the raffle.”
