On Monday 9 November, Southwell Racecourse will host their first ever Farmers Day Raceday in aid of Notts Young Farmers and R.A.B.I.
Mark Clayton, Racecourse General Manager, is keen to work with the two charities, saying: “We take great pride in our renewed position in the heart of the Nottinghamshire rural community, and working with both the R.A.B.I and Notts Young Farmers we are looking forward to give something back to these much deserved causes. With the support of the local community the day cannot fail to be a success.”
R.A.B.I. East Midlands regional manager Milly Fyfe said: “The Nottinghamshire branch of the R.A.B.I are grateful to Southwell Racecourse for choosing to support the charity as part of the first Farmers Day. We are encouraging members of the rural and farming community from across the country to join in with a day at the races, which in turn will help to raise funds to support our vital work.”
Lauren Clark, Development Officer at Notts Young Farmers said: “What better way to support two rural charities than to come for a day out racing, in the lovely setting of Southwell Racecourse, we thank them for supporting YFC in this way and hope that we can build on the event for the future.”
Tickets are available online via the Southwell website here and by applying the code ‘FARM15’ when booking grandstand tickets, a donation is made to both causes and will also discount the ticket by £2.
