R.A.B.I Kent committee held their annual fundraising breakfast at The Plough Inn at Stalisfield in February and despite the early start, staff, who normally provide lunches and dinner, were undeterred as they provided R.A.B.I supporters with a hearty farmhouse breakfast.
Canon Donald Lawton, Rector at High Downs Benefice of Eastling led Grace and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to eat a cooked breakfast whilst catching up with friends and neighbours.
Chairman of Kent R.A.B.I Charles Tassell said: “We are very grateful to The Plough Inn for hosting this event yet again. This is one of a series of breakfasts held around the county and funds raised used to help those people in agriculture who may be experiencing difficultly, either short term or on a more long term basis.”
More than 35 people came to the event with the youngest being Dylan Neaves who at 5 months was a bit too small to eat the breakfast. Dylan is the son of neighbouring farmer Jamie Neaves and the whole family took a short break from lambing to come and lend their support.
£400 was raised for R.A.B.I funds!
