Paul Burrows, R.A.B.I’s Chief Executive, has been awarded a Fellowship of Royal Agricultural Societies Award (FRAgS) by The Council for Awards of Royal Agricultural Societies (CARAS) in view of his ‘outstanding personal achievements and continuing record of service to agriculture’.
The objective of CARAS is to recognise distinguished achievement in agriculture and related land-based industries. The Awards embrace not only practical farming and the development of new husbandry practices, but also research, technology, economics, education, farming care, communication and administration.
Paul was presented with his award by HRH Countess of Wessex at the House of Lords on 10 February. Paul commented, “Not only is this a great personal honour, but it is also a great honour to accept this Award on behalf of R.A.B.I as a charity as a whole in recognition for the work that we do.”
