Donald Morgan demonstrated his considerable floral skills to raise £637.46 at Canolfan Pennal, Machynlleth.
Guests were treated to cheese and wine during the demonstration, which was organised by the Merionethshire committee. Linda Jones, regional manager for Wales, spoke to guests about the charity’s work during the interval and Donald’s exhibits were raffled off at the end of the night.
Linda said: “We are extremely grateful to Donald for fitting this charity evening into his busy schedule. He’s incredibly skilful, it’s no surprise that he had a wedding and three funerals to prepare for the following day.”
Mair Rees, R.A.B.I county committee chair for Merionethshire, added: “I’d like to thank Hufenfa De Arfon, R H Evans, Pwllheli and Tanners for their support. Our guests were treated to some fabulous cheeses, including the very special Welsh Slate Cavern Aged Cheddar. The cheese and wine went down a treat. Thank you to everyone who attended this event and made it such a success.”
