There are many ways you can get involved with Great British Beef Week (23 April-2 May). Leading up to the launch date on St George’s Day, we’ll be sharing some ideas about how you can join Ladies in Beef’s campaign to support British beef farmers.
Part one: shop for assured British beef
One simple change you can make to support British beef farmers, which you can do year-round, is to check that the beef you buy has either the Red Tractor or Beef Quality Standard Mark.
Both provide a guarantee of assurance of quality and traceability – from farm to pack, encompassing food safety, animal welfare and care for the environment.
In our next post about how to get involved with GBBW we’ll tell you how you can hold your own fundraising beefy event!
