R.A.B.I would like to send great thanks to Graham Littleton, Chairman of Gloucestershire Farmers Mutual Trust, for their generous donation of £2,000 towards our Christmas hamper appeal at the end of last year.
Graham (pictured above with his wife, Ann), a former dairy farmer now focussing on wheat, beans and maize plus DIY livery and storage, has been a long-time supporter of R.A.B.I, regularly donating to the cause and at one time leading the R.A.B.I Gloucestershire Committee.
When asked why his group chose to support R.A.B.I, Graham said, “The Gloucestershire Farmers Management Trust donate to charities each year and last year chose R.A.B.I because of the very good work that they do, particularly helping in these difficult times when farmers are under so much pressure.”
Graham has also witnessed the help that the charity offer, first-hand, when his neighbour had an accident which left her in a wheelchair and she was able to turn to R.A.B.I for guidance and support.
As well as financial assistance, R.A.B.I can help farming families to apply for any benefits that they are entitled to. In 2015 alone we helped farming people to claim more than £390,000 in state benefits and tax credits.
Graham’s Trust’s donation contributed to our Christmas hamper appeal. Last year we sent Christmas hampers to over 800 beneficiaries with farming connections, to bring a little festive cheer to those in financial difficulties.
We thank Graham and Gloucestershire Farmers Management Trust for their continued support.
