A ‘guess the price of the feed wheat’ competition held by NFU Horncastle and Conningsby raised £755.
Arthur Appleyard was the winner, who correctly guessed the price of £164.30. He won £100, a NFU welly bag and an umbrella. The prizes were presented to Simon Appleyard, who accepted them on his father’s behalf, at the regional NFU Horncastle and Conningsby’s AGM.
Mary Martin, regional manager for the East Midlands, said: “I’d like to thank NFU Horncastle and Conningsby for their continued support. The money raised will go towards supporting those in the farming community who are struggling financially.”
