The annual Guilting Power farm walk raised £1,111.
The Gloucestershire committee arranged walk in conjunction with Cotswold business, Guiting Manor Farms Ltd. The event was supported by local land agents Carver Knowles, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year.
The Guiting Manor Farm estate was established in the early 1960s and combines crop growing with a vibrant sheep enterprise and award-winning conservation work.
Farming wildlife advisory groups put on displays at the July fundraiser, while local farmer Mrs Hughes brought along a fascinating fossil collection.
Jenni Green, R.A.B.I regional manager for South Central, said: “Our Gloucestershire committee does some outstanding work, raising both funds and awareness. Last year, R.A.B.I gave out grants of more than £33,000 to 27 farming families in Gloucestershire and the charity is reliant on hardworking volunteers for much of its funding.
“There is much uncertainty in farming, but we’re confident that people in the sector can rely on R.A.B.I to be there for them when they’re needed most.”
