R.A.B.I’s Hampshire committee said goodbye to one of its valued members last week. Diana Barnden, who has been a member of the committee for many years, attended her last meeting before she and her husband, Tony, move to the West Country to be closer to family.
As a parting gift, fellow committee member Sally Silvester painted two beautiful mugs for Diana. They are decorated with reminders of the good times and great friends that Diana made with the Hampshire committee.
Sally Field, regional manager, said: “Diana has been the committee backbone for the past few years. She’s always been happy to help with anything, from washing up to serving food or selling raffle tickets. She will be missed greatly here in Hampshire, but hopefully this won’t be the end of her involvement with R.A.B.I. I’m sure she’ll get in touch with the committee in her new home county and will continue to be a fantastic supporter of the charity.”
