Hartpury College is now well into the first term of the academic year and we were pleased to hear they have another full complement of students on agriculture courses – including a record number of female students.
Hartpury kindly included information about R.A.B.I in their student starter packs and have been raising awareness of our work at a number of events, including Bale Rolling during “Wellfest”. In this competition teams of four had to roll a large round bale as fast as they could to the other side of the field. The winning team of this eliminator competition each won a set of waterproofs provided by R.A.B.I, thanks to Kramp UK.
During Wellfest, students also took part in a number of other events including road safety awareness and were event featured on BBC Radio 4’s Farming Today with Charlotte Smith.
Plans are afoot for some fundraising activities during this month’s R.A.B.I Welly Week (29 October – 6 November) and we can’t wait to see more of this great bunch of students! Thanks very much for your support.
