More than 150 people attended the event, featuring a three course roast beef dinner and auction. Peter Kingwell of Hobbs Parker Auctioneers ran the auction – highlights of which included a flight in a biplane, a shoot and cauliflowers and cabbages!
R.A.B.I regional manager for the South East, Sally Field said: “R.A.B.I would like to thank the committee for all their hard work and Angus and his team from the Stock Pot for providing the food. A fantastic £4,562 was raised!”
A collection for R.A.B.I was also made at the harvest thanksgiving festival at Canterbury Cathedral on Sunday 4 October. Read more here.
Winchester Cathedral once again played host to a free family event to mark the harvest festival over the weekend of 3/4 October. R.A.B.I had a stand near the Hampshire Farmers’ Market and used the opportunity to network with local people.
Now a regular annual event, the festival has grown both in size and popularity, and engages with a range of local organisations involved in farming and agriculture around Hampshire.
