Warwickshire committee member Helen Moore won the West Midlands regional prize at R.A.B.I’s annual awards ceremony in Oxfordshire.
This award is presented to a committee or individual who, in the opinion of the awards panel, deserves special recognition for supporting R.A.B.I.
Helen has been on the Warwickshire committee for over 25 years in many roles, including chairman, although she stepped down from that position last year.
Supporting R.A.B.I is a family tradition for Helen. She said: “My uncle was a trustee for R.A.B.I and my father did a lot for the committee, so it seemed the natural thing to do.”
She’s planned a number of regular events, such as a tractor run, a farmhouse breakfast and the annual afternoon tea in Wroxhall.
She said: “Without the support of the committee and friends of the committee we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. The important thing is we enjoy what we do so we keep on doing it.”
