Teams of golfers will be swinging into action on Friday June 1 to help farmers in financial need.
Henlle Park Golf Club is staging a golf challenge for teams of four to raise money R.A.B.I. Last year’s charity tournament at Henlle Park raised over £2,600.
Shropshire committee members will serve up sausages in baps after the ninth hole. The fundraiser is a popular day-out for golfers of all abilities and the entry fee of £180 per team of four includes a two-course roast meal after the golf as well as the mid-round baps and coffee and bacon rolls on arrival. Excellent prizes will be awarded to the winners, with nearest-the-pin and longest drive prizes also up for grabs.
Henlle Park Golf Club has been a staunch supporter of R.A.B.I for many years. This year’s main tournament sponsor once again is Agri Advisor Solicitors, with Wynnstay providing prizes for the winning team.
Linda Jones, R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, said: “Henlle Park’s golf day is always an enjoyable occasion for golfers with lots of banter over who will get their name on our challenge shield. We have a few tee-off times left, so please get in touch if you would like to take part.”
Becky Davies, R.A.B.I regional manager for North Wales & Warwickshire, added: “It’s been a long winter and spring has come late, forcing many farming families to struggle. Events like this really do help us to make a difference to people’s lives.”
