Around 100 guests joined the Suffolk committee for a hog roast at Thorpeness Meare, raising £1,164.
All the food was locally sourced, including the strawberries and cream pudding donated by James Blyth from the Friday Street Farm Shop. Guests ate while overlooking the Meare, a man-made lake inspired by the work of J.M. Barrie.
After dinner, guests tested their rowing skills on the lake and explored the secret waterways and Peter Pan islands.
Lucy Bellefontaine, regional manager for the East, said: “It was a fun relaxed evening for everyone who came along. I’d like to thank Kirsty and Liz from the Tea Rooms at Thorpeness for allowing us to use their facilities.”
