The Isle of Wight Ploughing Match Society very kindly chose R.A.B.I to benefit from this year’s ploughing match held at East Afton Farm, near Freshwater. It was a lovely day with slight cold breeze but a great crowd and lots of visitors.
Geoff Case and David Lemonias very kindly arranged tractor and trailer rides around the plough site, ably assisted by two little helpers, George and Charlie, which raised £106. Isle of Wight grain group also very kindly had a donation bucket in their grain group competitions tent.
Lots of people, young and old, stopped by the R.A.B.I stand which became a social focal point for many at the event. Attractions included a ‘guess the weight of the cake’ competition and a sale of our new range of Christmas cards which raised over £230.
Many thanks to everyone who supported R.A.B.I on the day and Anne Kennerley for her help on the stand.
