Parents and children gathered at the Ashford Market, Kent, for a Christmas celebration and raised £350.
Guests were treated to mulled wine, mince pies, and local apple juice on arrival while members of the Brockhill YFC entertained them with a nativity play, complete with live animals. Bill Jones, headmaster of Spring Grove School, led the music and carols.
John and Cathy Lewis reached the £1,000 mark through selling Christmas cards across the county. The pair have attended numerous events to sell R.A.B.I’s cards, with artwork kindly donated by seven artists.
Sally Field, regional manager for the South East, said: “I’d like to thank Mark Clevedon from Hobbs Parker who let us use the market for this event. They also donated a Christmas cake for the auction. My thanks also go to Perry Court Farm Shop, who donated a hamper for the raffle.”
