More than £500 was raised at an afternoon cream tea held at Kitchenham Farm in East Sussex.
Despite poor weather which forced the hosts to move the event into a barn rather than on their beautiful lawn, 65 guests enjoyed a lovely afternoon. When the rain stopped, they were able to admire the gardens.
The East Sussex committee baked homemade cakes, scones and sandwiches, and worked hard pouring cups of tea for the guests. They also ran a raffle, which added to the total funds raised.
Sally Field, regional manager, said: “I want to thank Amanda and Monty Worssam for letting us use their home for this event. The East Sussex committee were diamonds, as always, and without all their help and support the event would not have happened.”
