A three-course Sunday lunch for 80 at Ferrari’s in Longridge, Lancashire, raised £500.
R.A.B.I chairman Malcolm Thomas was the guest speaker at the event and welcomed Roger Dugdale of Dugdale Nutrition, who presented the charity with an additional cheque for £2,225.
Dugdale Nutrition is a ruminant feed manufacturer. Earlier this year, seven of their staff raised funds by completing the West Coast Classic 2017 – a 78 mile cycle ride starting and finishing in Preston, Lancashire.
Peter Wormleighton came up with the idea of doing the West Coast Classic and six colleagues agreed to join him. “The team varied from complete beginners to some pretty competitive cyclists,” said team member Rowan Boardley.
“We are all very glad we did it. We managed to get around the course in a good time for a great cause.”
