Directors of Langton Brewery, in Thorpe Langton, opened their doors for supporters to take a tour of their business.
Organised by Leicestershire committee member Harry Baines, the group of 20 learned all about the brewing process and what makes a tasty beer. Guests had the chance to sample the beers, the clear favourite being a draft called ‘Inclined Plane’.
After the tour, guests tucked into a buffet and got the chance to win prizes in a raffle, all while sipping on pints of beer. The raffle and other donations totaled £375.
Alistair Chapman, a director of the brewery, is a strong supporter of R.A.B.I. He organises an annual quiz in memory of his mother Dotty, who the charity helped in the past. The quiz will be held this year on December 7th.
Regional manager Mary Martin said: “I’d like to thank HSBC and the Langton Brewery making this lovely evening a possibility and for donating prizes to the raffle.”
