Buckinghamshire’s Linda Lear received the South Central regional prize at R.A.B.I’s annual awards ceremony.
One of Linda’s greatest achievements is helping organise the annual Bucks Cream Tea, which has been held at Creslow Manor for a number of years. The house at Creslow dates back to the 13th century and is said to be the oldest continually inhabited house in Buckinghamshire. Linda, and husband Brian generously allow R.A.B.I to hold the event at their impressive home.
From humble beginnings in 2010 when it was hosted under a couple of tents, the event raises over £1,000 every year.
“I certainly couldn’t do this without the help of the Buckinghamshire committee. It’s great that so many people raise money for R.A.B.I,” said Linda.
R.A.B.I regional manager Jenni Thompson added: “We’re extremely grateful to Brian and Linda for hosting this event and would like to thank all those people who come along to make it such a success.”
