In April, 85 members of Lindfield Young Farmers Club gathered in all their cowboy finery for a night of dance, good drink and tasty food to raise funds for R.A.B.I and St Peter & St James Hospice at Wivelsfield Village Hall, near Burgess Hill in Sussex.
The evening was a great success with everyone having lots of fun and raising over £500 for each of the charities at the same time. There were around ten dances that included do-si-do’s, galloping, swinging your partner and more, along with a couples’ dance and the Hokey Cokey!
A huge thank you to D’Arcy Spice who, as always, played brilliantly and led everyone through the dances in a welcoming and simple manner, encouraging all to take part.
The charity barn dance has become an annual event organised by Craig Payne. Craig is looking forward to holding another dance in Spring 2017 and hopes many people can attend once again for this fun fundraiser!
